Join two jewellers who bring two different vibes and a whole lot of knowledge

A laid-back, slow-paced experience where you’ll design and carve your own piece of jewellery under the guidance of two skilled jewellers – Steph and Sian, each bringing their own unique style and expertise to the table.

You're not limited to simply making a ring in this workshop. You can use your 2.5 hours to create whatever jewellery your heart desires.

You could work on a pendant, create your own earring charms, or maybe you want your own fab signet ring. The choice is yours.

Metal allowance: Each person has an allowance of 10g of sterling silver (finished product weight) to work with, which usually equates to a couple of small charms, a ring or light signet style. You can add on an additional 10g for $50 if you're wanting to go extra chunky, or make a second piece.

Gold upgrade: You can upgrade to gold or any precious metal of your choice - At the end of the workshop we can weigh your wax piece to calculate the metal weight once cast, that evening we'll shoot through an email with the metal upgrade price and you can choose whether or not to go ahead with the upgrade.

Stone upgrades: You'll have the opportunity to dig through our personal stash of fancy gemstones including sapphire, zircon, tourmaline etc. These will be individually priced. We also offer 3 CZs for $50.

BYO Stones: You're welcome to bring your own stones along to work with, there is a $30 setting fee per stone and we'll go over any things to be mindful of on the day. Please leave a note or shoot us an email to let us know if you'll be bringing your own along!

Stone setting: We will set your stones post casting to ensure top quality, sparkly stones. On your workshop day we'll come up with a plan on what style of setting you like and prep the layout of them and have examples on hand to show you.

Duration: 2.5 hours
Pricing: $320 per person
Session Times: 11:00am - 1:30pm
Location: Jane Finch Studio on Hume Road, Laverton North
Group Size: Limited to 6 people per class
Included: All tools and materials along with some drinks and nibbles
No Experience Needed: Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, this workshop is open to everyone. Not suitable to children under 16.

After the workshop —

Casting: Your design will be sent to our trusted refiner in Melbourne CBD for casting.
Finishing & Setting: We will finish your piece and set any stones
Delivery or collection: Your completed jewellery will be shipped via express post around 3 weeks after the workshop, or you can book in to come and collect. Whichever you prefer.

Optional Add-On for those who want to learn finishing:

For those who want to take their skills further, you can book a ‘Bench Day with Steph’ add-on at a discounted rate of $150 per person. This will give you a private studio session where you'll sit down with Steph and learn how to finish your newly made piece over a couple of hours, this will happen on a following Sunday and I'll reach out to organise this date with you.
