Hello
My name is Steph and I'm the gal behind Jane Finch
I design and handcraft each and every piece from my studio based in Melbourne/Naarm

I aim to mindfully design and create jewellery that you can wear every day with the purpose of celebrating and honouring your story.

The metals and stones I work with are recycled, reclaimed or ethically sourced.  I craft my designs in small batches for markets and events, otherwise everything is made to order.



Inspo
It rises from a love and appreciation of heirloom jewellery and the stories / connections behind them.

Behind the name
Jane is my middle name ~ Finch is a sentimental play on my surname

Beginnings
I began making pieces for myself in 2015 and sharing them amongst family and friends. Making jewellery was a means to nurture my creative side in my down time while working a busy hospitality roster and I quickly fell inlove with the process of silver and goldsmithing.
   
In 2017 I began sharing and selling my designs publically through local markets and after a few months I decided I couldn't see myself anywhere else and committed to becoming a jeweller & designer.

So here I am, a girl at her bench, designing and handcrafting delicate armor for you to put your own story to.
